message:	I am writing to you because I am concerned about the future of the Permanent Fund. I understand that the State of Alaska is running huge budget deficits and there seems to be little hope this situation will be resolved in future years. These deficits are so serious that we are being forced to tap the Budget Reserve to the tune of almost 600 million dollars this year. Some estimate that our Reserve account will be exhausted in the next several years. I believe that the permanent fund is at risk of being used for future state budget requirements. I also believe that Alaskan residents can better determine how to use their portion of the permanent fund. Therefore, I encourage you to consider the proposition of making a Lump Sum Distribution to every eligible Alaskan. Future deposits from resource royality payments should be distributed to Alaskans on an annual basis. Sincerely,
