About MyPFDCheck.com

We represent a Grass-Roots effort organized to educate Alaskans about the future of the Alaska Permanent fund. This site was developed by long-time Alaskan and Talkeetna resident Dennis C. Freeman, in December, 2002. Our thanks to Mark Matsusaki for his expert web design and advice.

The Permanent Fund is protected by the Alaska Constitution, but the Permanent Fund Dividends (earnings) do not have that same protection, and can be spent by the Alaska Legislature. There have been several times over the past few years that the legislature has attempted to limit permanent fund dividends or spend more of the earnings on state government. Some want to 'cap' the dividend or even eliminate it altogether.

THE STATE BUDGET IS RUNNING ANNUAL DEFICITS OF A BILLION DOLLARS OR MORE !

We all know this cannot continue, and since the legislature cannot balance the States' budget, there will be continuous pressure to tap the earnings of the permanent fund or the fund itself.

YOU WILL CONTINUE TO SEE 'RAIDS' ON THE FUND EARNINGS IF NOTHING IS DONE.

It is time to distribue the value of the fund to Alaskan Residents. Future monies received from oil revenues, deposited each year, should go directly to Alaskan residents. Millions of dollars each year will be saved in state administrative costs; if proceeds are paid directly to Alaska's residents.

Act Now to Help Distribute The Fund.

Help us by voting in our poll, contacting your legislator, and joining our effort by signing up for our mailing list so that we may keep you informed.
